Overview
this is a half day course held on a Saturday from 7:45am - 12:00pm. Designed for pediatricians, family practice physicians and others providing primary healthcare to children. This course will review current scientific advances as they apply to daily practice. Participants will advance their diagnostic and therapeutic skills through this practical evidence based review.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. Diagnose and initiate treatment for adolescents with polycystic ovary syndrome;
  2. Review Explain the role of the musculoskeletal system in regard to voiding dysfunction, define the role a pelvic health physical therapist can perform, and list the appropriate criteria for referral. Participants will also be able to expound on the roles other medical professionals can provide and stipulate the appropriate first line recommendations;
  3. Work better with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families to support healthy habits and use of appropriate community resources; and
  4. Explain Promote participants’ capacities to understand, through self-awareness & reflection, what matters to parents/families of children with Complex special health care needs when partnering with healthcare providers.
