Participants will advance their diagnostic and therapeutic skills through this practical evidence based review. 4


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  1. List 3 possible reactions of young children exposed to trauma;
  2. Identify research based, best practice models for identifying and responding to trauma and traumatic stress in youth and families;
  3. Identify the myriad of symptoms related to childhood trauma and how to begin treatment for these symptoms; and
  4. Provide an overview of the unique needs of children in the foster system.
