Overview
The Clerkship Leader Summit provides an all-day statewide clerkship faculty development experience, focused directly on the needs of the IUSM clerkship faculty. Following a networking dinner on Sunday evening, the conference features an opening plenary session by a recognized leader. The concurrent sessions allow the participants to learn specific skills in company with their regional campus colleagues. Previous topics have included clinical teaching tips, providing meaningful feedback, implicit bias, and understanding medical education competencies. The afternoon features individual clerkship meetings to allow statewide clerkship leadership teams to discuss upcoming curricular changes and to continue professional development identified for that particular clerkship.

At the end of this activity, physicians should be able to:

  1. Provide career advising to students as they determine their careers
