Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Define intra-abdominal hypertension and describe measurement techniques
  2. Identify at-high patients and surveillance strategies
  3. Apply international guidelines to his/her practice
  4. Determine the best way to diagnose traumatic diaphragmatic injuries
  5. Identify various ways to treat traumatic diaphragmatic injuries
  6. Weigh potential morbidity associated with missed traumatic diaphragmatic injuries against the risks of an early operation for diagnosis
  7. Describe the indications and contraindications for inserting a REBOA catheter
  8. List potential complications from REBOA catheter placement
  9. Describe 3 zones of the aorta and the indications for placement of a REBOA catheter in each zone
