Overview
Medical Ethics Ground Rounds educates physicians, nurses, allied health professionals, attorneys, clergy, students, business and community leaders, and others in contemporary ethics issues in healthcare and encourages thoughtful public discourse by supporting programs, projects, and conferences to deepen community awareness and understanding of clinical ethics. The Ethics Ground Rounds is free and open to all. Continuing education credit is offered for physicians, nurses, social workers, psychologists, dentists, and chaplains at no charge, regardless of their institutional affiliation.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Provide background learning in clinical medical ethics
  2. Present emerging issues in bioethics
  3. Supplement & expand the limited formal ethics curriculum provided in medical schools
  4. Explore recent research findings related to clinical medical ethics
  5. Enhance clinicians’ ability to care for patients and families at the bedside and in other clinical settings through enhancing their ability to identify, analyze and resolve ethical dilemmas
  6. Attendees will become more versed in classical & current medical ethics issues

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Indiana University School of Medicine and <insert joint provider entity>.
