Overview
The Consultation-Liaison didactic series will provide an educational forum open to physicians and allied health care professionals on a weekly basis via Zoom.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Diagnose and treatment psychiatric disturbances that occur among the physically ill.
  2. Evaluate and manage individuals with delirium, dementia, and psychiatric disorders due to medical illness.
  3. Evaluate and manage individuals with somatoform disorders.
  4. Assess decision-making capacity.
  5. Weigh the appropriate use of psychoactive medical in medical, neurologic, obstetrical, and surgical conditions.
  6. Recognize abnormal behavior and psychiatric illnesses that occur among medical, neurological, obstetrics and gynecological and surgical patients.
  7. Assess and manage substance use and its impact on the assessment and treatment of patients in the medical setting.
  8. Recognize the psychopharmacology of the medically ill, with emphasis on medication side effects and drug-to-drug interactions that affect the central nervous system.
