IUSM Point of Care Ultrasound Liver, Gallbladder, and Abdominal Aorta

Used as a focused diagnostic tool, Point of Care Ultrasound is increasingly used throughout clinical medicine. The purpose of this online enduring activity is to provide the participant with fundamental knowledge in the performance of a focused ultrasound examination of the liver, gallbladder, and abdominal aorta.

1. Implement proper ultrasound scan techniques when performing liver, gallbladder and abdominal aorta point of care ultrasound examinations.
2. Identify normal liver, gallbladder and abdominal aorta anatomy in an ultrasound image.
3. Critique ultrasound image characteristics to assess for gallstones, biliary sludge, and acute cholecystitis
4. Critique ultrasound image characteristics to determine findings of hepatic steatosis and hepatic cirrhosis.
5. Critique ultrasound image characteristics to determine findings of abdominal aortic aneurysm and abdominal aortic dissection.

2. you will receive instruction in the registration confirmation email on how to access the modules.
3. After completing all modules come back here, and click the Tests tile to attest to completing the activity. Please note that, all modules need to be completed in order to receive CME credit.
4. Click the MyCME button and click the Evaluations and Certificates tile. 
5. Choose the Type of Credit, complete the CME Evaluation, and click Submit.
6. On the Evaluations and Certificates page, click Download Certificate.
