Pediatric Grand Rounds


Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Describe the difference between supportive counseling and evidence-based psychotherapy;
  2. Describe, in general terms, what evidence-based psychotherapy entails for common psychiatric conditions;
  3. Describe appropriate levels of parental involvement in psychotherapy given age and presenting problem; and
  4. Describe how to make an effective referral for psychotherapy.
