Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Describe the current standard multidisciplinary treatment strategies for ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS) of the breast
  2. Identify the potential benefits of utilizing neoadjuvant systemic therapy for invasive breast cancer
  3. Discuss the new surgical procedure called targeted axillary dissection and when it might be indicated
