RESPECT Conference 2027

The RESPECT Conference objective is to bring together clinicians and researchers interested in evidence-based palliative and end-of-life care to help enhance clinical practice and foster new partnerships for translational research. February 26th will be the main conference for everyone who registers. February 25th will be the pre-course "Mastering Tough Conversations", which will be begin at 8:00 am and end at 4:30 pm, for those who register for the pre-course option. Pre-course Description: The practice of Hospice and Palliative Care involves conversations with patients and families that are often high stakes and involve complex emotions. This interdisciplinary full-day pre-course will be experiential, with each participant working in a small group to navigate challenging cases. The pre-course opportunities to practice frameworks for supporting patients who are receiving serious news and deliberating about goals of care, with the goal of nurturing healthier relationships with patients and families.

1. Describe best practices in palliative and hospice care.
2. Discuss strategies to improve communication. 
3. Identify current challenges and opportunities in the field of palliative care.

February 26, 2027 RESPECT Conference Day (held at Ritz Charles): 

• Physician: $250

• Non-Physician (fellows, residents, students): $200

Regular Registration - beginning 12/02/26:

• Physician: $300

• Non-Physician (fellows, residents, students): $250

Early Bird pricing applies to the February 26 main conference only. The February 25 pre-conference workshop is not included in the Early Bird Pricing. Learners welcome to register for preconference only, Conference Day only, or both.

The conference is especially relevant to those working in hospice and palliative care, hospital medicine, critical care, geriatrics, oncology, primary care, pediatrics, psychology, and pastoral care. Whether you provide direct care, support patients and families, or study ways to improve care, we hope you’ll join us!

 Psychologists (APA)
 Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of programs.  This activity offers 12.0 (workshop: 6.25, main conference: 5.75) continuing education credits for psychologists.
