Overview
Annual conference in child and adolescent psychiatry designed to change healthcare team resulting in improved knowledge, skills/strategies (competence).

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the components of the FIRST evidence-based psychotherapy program.
  2. Summarize evidence supporting the FIRST evidence-based psychotherapy program
  3. List medication treatment options for some of the most common child psychiatric disorders

Registration

Welcome to the Richter Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Conference page!   Two important logistical changes for '26 include:  1) the meeting with be held on the IUI campus at the Campus Center. 2) the meeting has been moved to February

Registration Open/Close.  Opens December 8, 2025, and will close on February 9, 2026.  (Those wishing to register after then will need to register onsite on the day of event .  All non-IU registrants fees will be an additional $50)

Location:  The event will be held in Room 450C (fourth floor) at the Campus Center on the IUI Campus in Indianapolis, IN

Time: starts at 7:30 AM and run through 4 PM. 

Complimentary meals: Continental breakfast and lunch will be served and are included for registrants of the meeting.

Parking:  Vermont garage on the IUI campus is included in registration fees.  IU staff/employees can also use their IU parking passes in dedicated lots.  Parking vouchers for the Vermont garage will be provided onsite 

IUSM Department of Psychiatry Trainees (Psychiatry Residents/Fellows; Psychology Fellows/Interns in the Department of Psychiatry): please contact TraNeka Pippens at [email protected] for registration information and instructions.

Refund Policies
All registration payment cancellations must be received (30) days prior to the activity date for a full refund.
If registration payment cancellation is made at least (2) weeks prior to the activity date, a partial refund of 50% is allowable.
No registration payment refund is available for cancellations made after that point unless cause of cancellation is due to unforeseen extenuating circumstances. The date your request is received by our office will be considered the cancellation date. Requests received after the refund deadline will not be processed.

Accreditation


In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians

American Board of Surgery (ABS)

Successful completion of this CME activity, enables the learner to earn 6.5 credits toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery's Continuous Certification Program.
