Overview
The lectureship is intended to provide otolaryngologists–head and neck surgeons and the general medical community with information on a variety of otolaryngology-related topics, including current research in rhinology and skull base surgery.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify strategies to modernize an academic clinical department.
  2. Discuss the evolving microbiology of otitis media
  3. Recognize how function sparing operations came to replace the traditional radical neck operation
  4. Identify the benefits of lymphoscintigraphy and sentinel lymph node biopsy in managing the “N0” neck
  5. Discuss the dilemma posed when isolated tumor cells and micrometastatic disease are encountered in cervical lymph nodes.
