Overview

This is a half day course held on a Saturday from 8:00am to 12:30pm. Designed for pediatricians, family practice physicians, and others providing healthcare to children. This conference will focus on evaluation and treatment of common causes of skin and lymph node swelling in the primary care setting. Guidance will be provided from the perspective of infectious disease, oncology, rheumatology and allergy specialists.

Attendees should park in the Riley Outpatient Center Garage located at 575 Riley Hospital Dr, Indianapolis, IN 46202.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify common infectious, oncologic, rheumatologic and allergic causes.
  2. Understand the evaluation pathways and algorithms.
  3. Provide treatment in the primary care setting.
  4. Feel comfortable providing reassurance and anticipatory guidance.
  5. Understand when and where to refer to sub-specialists.
