Overview

Gender, Sexuality, and Medicine: An Introduction to LGBTQ+ Competent Care is a two-day intensive course offered in-person or synchronously online. This course will take an interdisciplinary, evidence-based approach to state-of-the-field knowledge about LGBTQ+ identity, experiences, and health care needs. Current best practices will be discussed.



Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Incorporate best practices into working with LGBTQ+ patients based on contemporary, state-of-the-field knowledge about sex, gender, and sexuality.

In-Person:
All Healthcare Providers & Students: $500
*(Includes breakfast, lunch, and networking reception)

Online: 
All Healthcare Professionals: $300
Students: $100

Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
