Overview
This 1 hour session will provide clarification regarding the AMA CPT Evaluation and Management changes for 2021 including: • Revision of guidelines applies to Office or Other Outpatient E/M codes, 99202-99215 • Time alone may be used to select the appropriate level of E/M service, regardless of time spent in counseling/coordination of care • Time will include both face-to-face and non-face-to-face time spent in patient care on a given encounter date • Medical decision making alone may be used to select the appropriate level of E/M service • CPT code 99201 for new patient visit level one will be deleted • Time will be removed as an available code selection criterion for code 99211, nurse visit
