Overview
The Andrea Gianaris Pancreatic Cancer Symposium hosted by the IU Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center was established after Andrea was treated for pancreatic cancer at IUSM to honor her memory, express appreciation for her cancer care team, and inform researchers at IUSCCC of new and exciting endeavors in the field.  This symposium intends to present cutting edge research and mechanisms in the field of pancreatic cancer and related therapeutic approaches associated with these mechanisms.  

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Provide novel and exciting basic science research and describe management for patients with pancreatic cancer.
  2. Provide forum to present "best" clinical practice guidelines.
  3. Recognize management options for patients with pancreatic cancer.

Registration

Registration is FREE. 

Parking validations will be provided for Lockefield Garage - 951 Wishard Boulevard, Indianapolis. (Google Map - Lockefield Garage)

Breakfast and lunch will be provided. 

Abstract Submission Instructions for Trainees only (Graduate Students and Post Docs)

  • To Submit your abstract, please visit the Abstract Submission Form before the deadline of Monday, October 28, 2024, and must be submitted by 5:00 pm EST. 
  • Presenting author must be a trainee.
  • Abstracts must include all co-authors of the abstract, including the presenting author and can be a max of 3,000 characters.
  • The abstract should be structured with sections titled: background, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Word documents are preferred to assist use in compiling abstracts for our records.
  • No revisions or changes will be accepted to submitted abstracts after the deadline.
  • Notifications of acceptance for oral presentation will be provided by email by Friday, November 1 by 12:00 pm. (If accepted, requested to present 10 minutes at symposium - 8 min with 2 min for Q&A)
  • NOTE: If previously submitted to a national or local meeting, an abstract may still be submitted.
