Overview
This is a two-day conference with presenters discussing current Perinatal evidence-based topics for CNSs and RNs.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify opportunities and challenges in providing advanced care to mothers and infants with complex needs.
  2. Describe clinical and ethical considerations in providing care to vulnerable populations.
  3. Discuss strategies for successful Perinatal CNS role transition.

This is a two-day virtual conference with presenters discussing current Perinatal evidence-based topics including: Screening for Trauma, Traumatic Childbirth, and PTSD in Women or Birthing Persons at Risk for Perinatal PTSD; Trauma During Pregnancy; Marijuana in Pregnancy; Obesity in Obstetrics; Sepsis in Pregnancy; Neonatal Sepsis; Perinatal Loss; Postpartum Depression & Psychosis. This two-day conference will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18th 12:00-4:30pm and Friday, Jan. 19th 12:00-4:30pm.


Accreditation
In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses
Indiana University School of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of 8.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
