Overview

Autism Healthcare ECHO at IU School of Medicine / IU Health connects healthcare providers and subject matter experts for regular real-time collaborative sessions to advance learning and practice in serving those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. Autism Healthcare ECHO will aim at equipping and supporting healthcare providers to improve accessibility and quality of care for individuals with ASD through the provision of a tele-mentoring program designed by and for those within the IU Health system.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Improve knowledge of Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) among IUH healthcare providers.
  2. Improve perceptions and attitudes towards care of patients with ASD among IUH healthcare providers.
  3. Improve Pedagogy (i.e., use of terminology and recommendations rooted in EBPs) among IUH healthcare providers.
  4. Improve accessibility of care and services.
  5. Improve quality of care and services for patients with ASD.
  6. Improve provider (i.e., training and service) and patient (i.e., service) satisfaction.
  7. Improve accessibility, usability and feasibility of changes among IUH providers.
  8. Improve adoption, penetration and sustainability of changes among IUH providers.
