Overview
This 1-day in-person policy conference is full of impactful panels and collaborative breakout sessions. The healthcare team will gain further insight into the opportunities and challenges of serving in health policy leadership and advocacy roles in the midst of the current healthcare crisis. Additionally, healthcare team members will develop effective strategies to integrate health policy and advocacy into curriculum and experiential learning opportunities. Participants will leave this conference with a renewed motivation to increase the capacity of researchers, coalitions and others within healthcare team to address key policy issues and build effective advocacy campaigns.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. 1. Illustrate opportunities and challenges of serving in health policy leadership and advocacy roles in the midst of the current healthcare crisis.
  2. 3. Increase the capacity of researchers and coalitions to address key policy issues and build effective advocacy campaigns for the healthcare team.
  3. 2. Develop effective strategies to integrate health policy and advocacy into curriculums and experiential learning opportunities for interprofessional healthcare teams.

Registration
  • Register and pay online by Sunday, September 10th, 2023.
  • Choose one afternoon track during registration. 
  • Fees: $99.00 for conference participants.
  • Fee available for IU faculty and Staff: $79.00
  • Fee for students from all colleges and universities: $49.00
  • Virtual option now available for the morning session 8:45am-12:30 pm, 3 Contact Hours, $99 Registration Fee
  • All registration fees will be refunded if cancellation is made before August 31st, 2023.

Accreditation
 
In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.


Nurses
Indiana University School of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of 5.0ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
