Overview
The Learn to Identify & Fight Trafficking (LIFT) curriculum is a CME-accredited training that educates healthcare providers on how to identify and support patients that have been trafficked. Registrants will receive standard lecture, with a facilitator available to answer questions and lead discussion. Following discussion, the training will conclude with one hour panel of local community partners including advocates, law enforcement, child protective services, nonprofit agencies, etc. to whom victims of trafficking may be referred.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe the scope and prevalence of the problem of human trafficking in the United States.
  2. Recognize the warning signs that raise suspicion for human trafficking victimization.
  3. Commit to incorporate screening of suspected victims of trafficking into routine practice.
  4. Commit to clinically evaluate and treat any patient suspected of being trafficked.
