Overview
This is a half day virtual course held on a Saturday from 8:00am to 12:00pm. Designed for pediatricians, family practice physicians, and others providing primary healthcare to children. This course will review current scientific advances as they apply to daily practice. Participants will advance their diagnostic and preventive skills through this practical evidence based review.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify what things are not mood disorders in preschoolers.
  2. Recognize ways to prevent mood disorders in pre-teens and adolescents.
  3. Discuss new developments in assessment and treatment for substance use disorders.
  4. Evaluate the crisis in mental health and explain how we can help.
  5. Examine systemic racism and health inequities and how they affect outcomes of psychiatric disorders.
  6. Observe "Waves of the Future" (genetic testing, etc.)

Registration

Registration fee is $40 for all healthcare professionals.

Note: This program will be held virtually, and you will receive the zoom link, and password the week of the program.
