Overview

Gender, Sexuality, and Medicine: An Introduction to LGBTQ+ Competent Care is a one day course offered in-person or synchronously online. This course will take an interdisciplinary, evidence-based approach to state-of-the-field knowledge about LGBTQ+ identity, experiences, and health care needs. Current best practices will be discussed.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Incorporate best practices into working with LGBTQ+ patients based on contemporary, state-of-the-field knowledge about sex, gender, and sexuality.
