Overview
This one day symposium designed for medical oncologists, general surgeons, pharmacists, nurses and other health care professionals provides a review of recent advances in breast cancer diagnosis and treatment. Guest lecturers and the Indiana University Melvin and Bren Simon Comprehensive Cancer Center faculty will share their expertise with course participants on a variety of topics relating to the care of patients with breast cancer. Case discussions will highlight the impact of new developments on clinical management.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Compare and contrast radiation techniques for patients after lumpectomy
  2. Review the risk of lymphedema and consider options for intervention/management
  3. Identify needs of breast cancer survivors, consider appropriate survivorship care
  4. Describe new approaches to management of ER+ and HER2+ breast cancer
  5. Discuss the role of immunotherapy in the management of TNBC; effectively manage IO-related toxicities
  6. Consider the unique challenges and management of patients with CNS involvement
  7. Review the current status of NGS testing in clinical practice

Registration

PRE-REGISTRATION FOR THIS COURSE IS CLOSED.

Learners who are interested in attending the Live event may come onsite and register the morning of February 4th starting at 11 AM

This event will be a live course held at the NCAA in downtown Indianapolis in the Walter Byers Auditorium. 

Registration is FREE, and limited to the first 120 learners.  

Pre-registration for the LIVE event closed Tuesday 1/31 at midnight

Pre-Registration for the online event only closed Friday 2/3 at 5 PM

d. A single set of program materials per Exhibitor (not per representative), if program materials have been created and distributed to attendees. However, in no event will IUSM CME provide a list of program attendees in program materials given to Exhibitors.

e. If you wish to attend presentations: remove your name tag before entering meeting space and refrain from wearing or taking items with company name/logo into meeting space. Also refrain from asking questions or leading the discussion in any ways.

f. IU School of Medicine prohibits exhibitors from providing gifts, regardless of market value. Please do not distribute any gift items with company or product names/logos. Product brochures allowed on exhibit tables.

g. Acknowledgment at the activity. Pursuant to ACCME SCS 6.4, such acknowledgement will not contain the logo of any individual Exhibitor.  Rather, the course director (or other CME representative) will acknowledge the exhibitors and the availability of the exhibit space generally for attendees who choose to visit it.
