Overview
Each year, the NIA-designated Indiana Alzheimer's Disease Research Center (IADRC) hosts the annual Memory University, which provides the community and healthcare professionals with the latest evidence-based information on aging, brain health, and Alzheimer's disease. This year, two of our sessions will focus on "Social Isolation and Loneliness in Older Adults" and "The Long-Term Effects of COVID-19 on the Brain" is designed to provide the latest information

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity participants will be able to:

  1. Describe the difference between social isolation and loneliness
  2. Explain how the COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to social isolation and loneliness in older adults
  3. Describe what healthcare professionals can do to combat the epidemic of social isolation and loneliness
  4. Explain the pathophysiology of how COVID-19 infection may lead to neurologic changes
  5. Describe what mental health disorders are associated with COVID-19 infection

1.       Click the Tests tile to view the online video.
2.      Click Launch video, after viewing the video go back to the Test tile.
3.      Click post-test to attest to completing the activity.
4.      Click the MyCME button and then click on the Evaluations and Certificates tile. 
5.      Choose the Course Title you completed, click complete Evaluation, when done click Submit.
6.      On the Evaluations and Certificates page, click Download Certificate or access your transcript through the Transcript tile.
