Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Review current data and the importance of gender equity in leadership
  2. Describe the role of intersectionality in contributing to these disparities
  3. Summarize current efforts to address gender disparity
  4. Identify the implementation gap in employing these recommendations
  5. Learn the ADCOM framework to assess resistance to change and the basics of change management
  6. Review example of emerging solutions from global organizations via UN Women’s HeForShe Campaign
  7. Develop concrete goals and an organizational strategy to take back to your organization to promote gender equality
  8. Describe examples of physician led advocacy for advancing patient health
  9. Access professional society tools through AMWA to engage in physician advocacy
  10. Identify how to become involved in advocacy to reduce barriers to physician's accessing mental health services
  11. Identify the association between impostor syndrome and the gender leadership gap
  12. Recognize the common impostor tendencies
  13. Describe how impostor syndrome affects the mindset and emotions
  14. Describe the basic premises of emotional intelligence
  15. Recognize how emotional intelligence drives success and outcomes
  16. Explore several strategies to control emotional self-expression and self-regulation
