Overview

The in-person 55th Annual Riley Children's Health Conference originally planned for May 1-May 14, 2020 has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. Registration fees are being refunded. Thank you for your patience as the IU School of Medicine, Division of Continuing Medical Education, works to issue refunds.

Join us each Wednesday in May for a Noon Series that will feature important topics originally planned for the conference. There is no charge for this series.

This annual conference brings together hundreds of pediatric primary care providers (pediatricians, family medicine physicians, nurse practitioners, residents, and allied health professionals) from across Indiana and the Midwest.The majority of the clinicians come from outpatient settings with interests in learning more about current evidence-based diagnostic and management tools pertinent to their pediatric practice. The title and theme for the 2020  conference is: Quality Care is Never an Accident: Putting Patients First.

Exhibitor Opportunity Available! Click on the "Exhibitor" tab for more information.

Objectives
At the conclusion of the conference, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize Indiana’s high infant mortality rate and the existing black-white disparity;
  2. Recall how structural racism and implicit bias may play a role in disparities in infant mortality rates; and
  3. Discuss strategies health care providers can use to counteract implicit bias.

Registration

Join us each Wednesday in May to hear presentations originally planned for the 55th Annual Riley Children's Health Conference. The presentations begin at 12:00 PM.

Go here to register and view the presentation.

There is no charge to participate in this virtual activity.
