Overview

Pediatric GI Update for the Primary Clinician is designed for physicians and allied healthcare providers specializing in family medicine and pediatrics. This program will provide attendees with updates in clinical management of important and/or commonly seen pediatric disorders in gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition. This live activity will include didactic lectures, panel discussions, case presentations, and Q&A sessions to create a highly active environment for the learners.

Indiana University leadership is continuing to monitor the rapidly evolving novel coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and adopt policies to protect our students, staff, faculty, and the community.

As a result this course has moved to an online format. Those who have pre-registered will receive an email by Thursday, March 19th  with instructions how to access the webinar and other pertinent information.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify complementary and alternative medicine approaches to common pediatric GI disorders.
  2. identify patients that would benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to treating aerodigestive disorders and feeding dysfunction.
  3. recognize the different gluten-associated GI disorders in children including celiac disease.
  4. describe the evaluation and management of ingested foreign bodies in children.
  5. discuss the psychologist's approach to interviewing and treating children with functional abdominal pain.

Registration

Online registration is preferred. Payment may be made online using MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Discover, or you may pay by check payable to Indiana University. For more information or assistance, call 317.274.0104.

A $75 fee has been set for physicians, nurses and other healthcare providers. Free registration will be provided to IU School of Medicine medical students, residents, fellows, and  Riley Hospital GI Department. Preregistration is required. Fee includes online conference material and breakfast.

All registration fees will be refunded, if cancellation is made on or before Friday, March 6, 2020.

Amenities include:
a. Use of a single table and two chairs in the exhibit space.

b. Exhibitor identification signage, such as a table top sign, table runner, or banner, provided by the exhibitor, is permitted on the table.

c. Permission for two representatives to exhibit the product/service. A third representative can be added for an additional fee in the amount of $500. For more than three representatives, additional tables should be purchased.
