Course Description Designed for pediatricians, family practice physicians and others providing primary healthcare to children. This course will review current scientific advances as they apply to daily practice. Participants will advance their diagnostic and therapeutic skills through this highly practical evidence based review.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  1. Discuss how medical diagnoses impact learning and identify different ways that physicians and educators can work together to improve outcomes for students with chronic medical needs;
  2. Discuss an approach to building a differential for behavior concerns in children ages 6-10 years;
  3. Explain to parents and physicians the different types of bullying present today, what are the signs to look for, and how to address all these situation;
  4. Discover the first step needed to become medical device innovators; and
  5. Identify how to help families request assessment for learning difficulties at their children’s school.

Registration
$40 - All Healthcare Professionals
Free - IUSM Department of Pediatrics Faculty, Staff, and Residents-in-Training.
