Overview
This is intended to provide otolaryngologists, head & neck surgeons, and the medical community with information on topics, including spontaneous CSF leaks linked to obesity and sleep apnea; CSF leak diagnosis using CT scans; the middle fossa approach to repair; improving outcomes for endoscopic sinus surgery in  treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis.

Objectives
At the conclusion of the activity  participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss link between obesity/sleep apnea and the development of spontaneous CSF leaks.
  2. Recognize the diagnostic & CT findings for diagnosis of spontaneous CSF leaks.
  3. Describe the advantages of the middle fossa approach to repair spontaneous CSF leaks.
  4. Identify issues pre-operatively, intra-operatively and post-operatively that can improve overall outcomes for endoscopic sinus surgery in the treatment of chronic rhinosinusitis
