Merritt Lecture - The State of HPV in Indiana

Target Audience: Obstetrics & Gynecology, Family Practice, General Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Parent/Family, Pediatrics, Primary Care

1. Recall the HPV vaccination guidelines of 2 shots given at 0 and 6-12 months if 14 and under, and 3 shots given at 0,2,6-12 months
2. Recognize patients between the ages of 11-26 who may still need the HPV vaccine
3. Discuss openly with patients and with adult women who may have children that are coming of age and discuss the impact of the HPV vaccine and it use in preventing disease
4. Identify that the rates of HPV related diseases in Indiana will continue to rise unless all practitioners work on improved access to the HPV vaccine
