Overview
This conference is valuable for professionals working in the addictions field, offering an educational forum to explore evidence-based strategies for addressing the global addictions crisis. This year’s IntNSA conference will feature both plenary and concurrent sessions.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Critically evaluate contemporary evidence, global policy, and emerging research influencing addiction nursing practice.
  2. Demonstrate and apply trauma-informed, harm-reduction, and person-centred approaches when working with diverse and hard-to-reach populations.
  3. Analyse and interpret the impact of structural stigma, inequities, and social determinants of health on addiction care outcomes.
  4. Design and integrate addiction science and inclusive principles within undergraduate and postgraduate nursing curricula
  5. Develop and implement interprofessional collaboration, leadership, and advocacy strategies to improve access and equity.
  6. Formulate and present an actionable plan to translate conference learning into service improvement, education innovation, or workforce development.

Accreditation

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by Indiana University School of Medicine and International Nurses Society on Addictions (IntNSA). Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses
Indiana University School of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of 20.0 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
