Specialties - Dermatology, Nephrology, Pharmacy, Surgery General, Vascular and Interventional Radiology, Vascular Surgery

Overview
The program offers a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to vascular care and treatment. Drawing on feedback from previous years, this year’s agenda includes topics identified as most relevant and will be delivered by specialists with deep expertise in their respective fields. The symposium is designed to create an ongoing educational platform and foster opportunities for expert consultation. Its primary goal is to elevate the quality of care for patients with vascular disease—ultimately improving quality of life and, in many cases, preserving life and limb. This event will share the latest advancements in managing acute and chronic venous disease, explore the role of antiplatelets, anticoagulants, and statins in vascular care, and clarify standard vascular lab practices. Additional sessions will address unique considerations in dermatologic, diabetic, arthritic, and pediatric patients, as well as evolving strategies for carotid artery disease, aortic aneurysms, and lower extremity occlusive disease. We will also be discussing a section on AI into Vascular Care. We aim to provide practical insights that support comprehensive care—whether delivered by physicians, pharmacists, podiatrists, advanced practice providers, nurses, or wound care specialists.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Apply current best practices for managing carotid and aortic disease, including indications for endovascular versus open interventions.
  2. Recognize strategies for improving outcomes in limb salvage and lower extremity vascular disease.
  3. Understand the role of multidisciplinary care in managing complex vascular patients, including integration of informatics and population health approaches.
  4. Address Vascular Disease in Vulnerable Populations: Harnessing Data for Care Coordination - Identify disparities in vascular care and explore how data-driven approaches can improve coordination and outcomes.
  5. Identify emerging pharmacologic and non-invasive therapies for vascular disease, including GLP-1 agonists and advanced lipid management.
  6. Discuss innovative approaches to care coordination and technology utilization for vulnerable patient populations.

Event will be held March 13, 2026 at Newfields, 4000 N Michigan Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46208
