American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS) 
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn their required annual part II self-assessment credit in the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery’s Continuing Certification program (formerly known as MOC).

American Board of Pathology (ABPath)
Successful completion of this CME activity enables the learner to earn 5.25 credit toward the CME requirements of the American Board of Pathology’s Lifelong Learning (CME).

American Board of Pediatrics (ABP)
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn up to 5.25 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.

American Board of Surgery (ABS)

Bedside clinical teaching remains one of the most powerful and impactful methods for medical and healthcare education, yet it also presents unique challenges. This interactive workshop will equip faculty with practical strategies to maximize teaching opportunities during patient care. Participants will explore techniques to balance patient care with learner engagement, provide effective real-time feedback, and create a safe, respectful learning environment in the clinical environment. The session will include practical frameworks, role modeling techniques, and strategies for navigating common challenges in clinical teaching.

Building Relationships with Learners: Creating a Culture of Caring

Strong educator-learner relationships are essential for effective clinical teaching and learner success. This interactive session introduces the Culture of Care in Teaching framework, integrating principles from educational psychology into clinical education. Participants will explore how relational teaching practices impact learner performance and well-being, and discover strategies to intentionally foster trust, empathy, and inclusion in Phase 2 clerkships.
