Overview
Part 1: Professional Integrity and Facilitation During the first part of the series, discuss the role of the facilitator in a simulation, evaluate practices that aid the learner in achieving the learning objectives, evaluate the preparation necessary to maximize learning outcomes in simulation, learn the standards of practice, guidelines, principles, and ethics as they relate to simulation, and more! Part 2: Prebriefing and Debriefing During the second part of the series, identify components required to make sure students are prepared for the simulation experience, learn best practices for debriefing a simulation experience, discuss effective debriefing practices, and more. Part 3: Simulation Development Workshop During the third part of the series, join in three sessions all about simulation design. The purpose of the Simulation Development Workshop is for faculty to create or revise a simulation scenario. In the first session, learn about simulation design resources and discuss simulation objectives, learning goals, as well as the types of simulation available. In the second session, present a draft simulation scenario for feedback and discuss additional resources that might be useful to your simulation. In the third session, learn about simulation evaluation tools and more!
