Overview
The Cancer ECHO is a platform used to deliver continuing education, real-time consultation, and actionable learning to health professionals working in the cancer care continuum. This ECHO provides equitable, up-to-date, evidence-based guidelines with the ultimate goal of improving health care service delivery. By equipping health professionals with prevention, screening, and treatment tools, the Cancer ECHO empowers them to comprehensively address cancers and reduce health disparities in Indiana. Sessions will focus on addressing Indiana's top 6 cancers and revolve around the cancer care continuum.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize evidence-based screening and treatment options related to cancer conditions.
  2. Identify evidence-based resources for optimal clinical practices related to cancer.
  3. Recognize Indiana’s six most common cancers and how they are screened, diagnosed, and treated using evidence-based practices.

Accreditation


In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Physicians

Indiana University School of Medicine designates live activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

American Board of Surgery (ABS)

Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evolution competent, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME of the American Board of Surgery's Continuous Certification Program. It is the CME activity's provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.
