Overview

Pediatric Grand Rounds


Objectives

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:


  1. Recognize the critical role of in-utero environment in modulating offspring risks of adult diseases;
  2. List different adult diseases associated with in-utero exposure to maternal diabetes;
  3. Identify different methods to evaluate pancreatic beta cell functions;
  4. Identify factors associated with successful referrals of long-acting reversible contraception;
  5. Recognize the increasing number of babies dying of sudden unexpected infant death in Indiana;
  6. Describe how a quality improvement learning collaborative for maintenance of certification credit may function;
  7. Demonstrate how a quality improvement learning collaborative supported sustained improvement in pediatrician counseling on safe sleep practices; and
  8. Recognize key educational gaps in resident education surrounding end-of-life care.
