The Indiana state conference is designed to create a network to support the recruitment, retention, and job satisfaction of women in anesthesiology.  Speakers will discuss women in anesthesiology in academic leadership, work/life balance, communication skills, contract negotiation, and an update on OB anesthesiology.  There will be opportunities for networking, mentorship, and a panel discussion for questions and career advice.  Lunch will be provided.  Men and women physician anesthesiologists are encouraged to attend!

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 
  1. Describe potential areas of negotiation in employment contracts.
  2. Practice communication skills designed to empower and advance career opportunities.
  3. Advocate for women in leadership positions.
  4. Discuss the current landscape for women in leadership in academic anesthesiology.
  5. Recall and apply the mission for Women in Anesthesiology- Indiana.

Registration Fees: $30 Resident and Fellows |  $100 Physicians
