At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to: 

  1. Recognize similarities and differences between pediatric and adult forms of pulmonary hypertensive vascular disease (PHVD), including pulmonary hypertension (PH);
  2. Recall the consensus approach to the international classification of PHVD, now known as the Panama Classification of Pediatric PHVD; and
  3. Recognize the key genetic and biologic factors involved in PAH pathogenesis.
