Breast Milk as a Medicine: A NICU Emphasis

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  1. Cite an update of current literature concerning the use of human milk in the NICU;
  2. Describe the possible relationship between the dose of human milk in the NICU and outcomes in preterm infants; and
  3. Discuss the challenges faced with the use of human milk in the NICU and potential solutions.
