Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Recognize the value and importance of listening at different levels for uncovering greater truths and empowering patients and others in their lives
  2. Utilize the skill of acknowledgment to improve the wellbeing of colleagues and foster increased patient involvement in care
  3. Employ five coaching skills to enhance communication with patients, colleagues, and staff
  4. Discover the power of changing one’s perspective for resolving dilemmas and difficult choices
  5. Describe the healthcare landscape and statistics around gender disparities in medicine
  6. Create personal concrete tools to promote personal and leadership development
  7. Highlight the skills we learn in medicine that translate into emotionally intelligent leadership
  8. Understand the importance of values and their relationship to the psychological needs individuals have in the workplace
  9. Define personal and professional values to gain an improved sense of self-efficacy
  10. Align personal values with institutional objectives
  11. Improve emotional agility by understanding the role of values in workplace relationships
  12. Understand how their decision making process impacts their resilience as a leader
  13. Identify their dominant decision making bias
  14. Apply a simple decision making process that integrates head, heart and gut

How to obtain continuing education credits after viewing the individual modules (1-4):

1) Sign in or create a new account by clicking "Sign In" in top left corner. *If you previously participated in a CME activity accredited by IU but do not know your password, please enter your email address and click on the 'Forget Your Password' button. Your password will be emailed to you.
2) Click the Tests tile to view the online videos.
3) After each module, click the Test tile to attest to completing the activity.
4) Click the MyCME button and click the Evaluations and Certificates tile. 
5) Choose the Type of Credit, complete the CME Evaluation, and click Submit.
6) On the Evaluations and Certificates page, click Download Certificate.
