Overview

This activity will prepare the capstone preceptor with the general principles of how to successfully precept the capstone student. The learner will be able to describe the Capstone preceptor responsibilities, enhance student learning opportunities, assist the student in completing an evidence-based project, describe ways to evaluate their students' performance.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Describe Capstone preceptor responsibilities
  2. Discuss strategies to enhance student learning
  3. Describe the preceptor role in the evidence-based project component of the Capstone course
  4. Describe the student evaluation process
