Overview

The 7th Annual IU School of Medicine Education Day is an event for faculty, staff, students, residents, and fellows from all departments and campuses. Attendees are invited to showcase best practices and scholarly research in medical education through oral presentations, workshops, poster sessions, and small group discussions. This event will also feature a keynote speaker highlighting this year's theme: Connecting the Head and the Heart: Building Humanism in Medical Education and Practice.


Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify best practices in medical education and research
  2. Recognize current approaches to assessing and evaluating health education learners
  3. Describe how educational outcomes data can be presented and published
  4. Network and build collaborative relationships with educators from other IU School of Medicine departments and campuses.

Registration

This is an in-person event at MERB (Medical Education and Research Building) from 8 am to 5 pm on Friday, April 24, 2026. 

This activity is free to attend, but pre-registration is required.

Registration closes on Wednesday, April 22nd!

Parking Information

  • Option #1: Those with IU Parking permits are encouraged to park in an appropriate lot (EM and ST spots nearby) near Fairbanks Hall and use the shuttle stop outside the MERB.

  • Option #2: Those with IU Parking permits may also park on the main campus and use the IU Health Downtown Shuttle that picks up outside of several campus locations and drops off at the Neuro Center. For stop locations, visit https://www.busgenius.com/maps/iuh.

  • Option #3: Park in IU Health Methodist Garage 4 and walk to MERB. Parking will be validated at this location only.

  • Option #4: Park in the Neurosciences Garage at your own expense. Maximum daily cost is $5.
