Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the relationship between Down Syndrome and Alzheimer's Disease; apply new knowledge to improve education of patients and caregivers.
  2. Participants will understand the relationship between Down syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease
  3. Participants will learn about the cerebrovascular changes that occur in the brains of individuals with Down syndrome
  4. Participants will appreciate the contribution of inflammation to neurodegeneration
  5. Participants will learn about the relationship between gut and brain health
