Overview
An innovative conference that attracts a wide audience of both adult and pediatric physicians from several specialities and maintains their attention through unique presentations of combined adult and pediatric Lower Functional Gastrointestinal disorders. It is designed for physicians and allied healthcare providers. This program will provide attendees with updates in clinical management of important and/or commonly seen Functional lower GI disorders seen in both adult and pediatric Gastroenterology. This live activity will include didactic lectures, panel discussions, case presentations, and Q&A sessions to create a highly active environment for the learners.


Objectives
At the end of this activity, learners should be able to:

  1. Identify complementary and alternative medicine approaches to Functional lower GI motility disorders.
  2. Identify patients that would benefit from a multidisciplinary approach to treating pelvic floor motility disorders.
  3. Recognize the different ano-rectal malformations in adult and pediatric patients and its treatment approach.
  4. Describe the evaluation and treatment of patients with functional lower GI disorders i.e. IBS
  5. Discuss the psychologist's approach to interviewing and treating patients with Functional lower GI disorders.

Registration

Registration Fee:

$50 - All Learners
Free - IU/non-IU fellows, medical students, residents-in-training

A pre-conference email will be sent with instructions on how to view and participate in the virtual conference by Friday, September 11.

Cancellation Policy:

A full refund will be given if the cancellation is made at least one month in advance and follows our internal review and approval process. A partial refund of 50% would be allowable if cancellation is made at least two weeks in advance. No refund would be available for cancellations made after that point unless cause of cancellation is due to unforeseen extenuating circumstances such as serious illness, hospitalization, death of a close relative, etc. for which documentation may be requested.

Refunds will be issued based on the method in which the payment had been made. It is the departments intent to process refunds within five (5) days of approving the customers request for such refund.

In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses
Indiana University School of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of 6.75 ANCC contact hours. Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
