Overview
The 25th Annual Eskenazi Health Trauma  and Surgical Critical Care Symposium is a one day event focusing on trauma patient care from injury prevention to rehabilitation. This symposium will focus on current trends in care including violence prevention strategies, opiate management, and specific injury management.  This event is open to physicians, residents, nurses, therapists, pharmacists, EMS, and students of all disciplines.

The conference will be held at the Crowne Plaza located at 123 W. Louisiana St, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Identify causative factors of violence in Marion County.
  2. Identify violence prevention resources available to citizens of Marion County.
  3. Apply best practice models when prescribing opioids to trauma patients.
  4. Confidently communicate with other team members, patients, and families about difficult subjects.
  5. Identify appropriate transportation methods for patients to a trauma facility.

$125 - physicians
$75 - nurses and other healthcare providers
free - Indiana School of Medicine faculty and Eskenazi Health Staff
free - EMS, fire personnel
free - fellows, medical students and residents-in-training

Registration is now closed, however we are still accepting walk-ins on Friday at the conference.

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Indiana University School of Medicine and Eskenazi Health. The Indiana University School of Medicine is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Rate for Standard Single Booth for November 2nd: $1,000 per booth

By paying the exhibit fee, Exhibitors are purchasing the following:

a. Use of a single table and two chairs in the exhibit space.

b. Exhibitor identification signage, such as a table top sign, table runner, or banner, provided by the exhibitor, is permitted on the table. 

c. Permission for two representatives to exhibit the product/service. A third representative can be added for an additional fee in the amount of $500 or the price of registration (to be determined by IUSM CME and the course director). For more than three representatives, additional tables should be purchased.

d. A single set of program materials per Exhibitor (not per representative), if program materials have been created and distributed to attendees. However, in no event will IUSM CME provide a list of program attendees in program materials given to Exhibitors.

e. Permission to attend the educational activity, subject to the conditions set forth below.

f. Permission to participate in any meals/refreshments at the activity.

g. Acknowledgment at the activity. Pursuant to ACCME SCS 6.4, such acknowledgement will not contain the logo of any individual Exhibitor.  Rather, the course director (or other CME representative) will acknowledge the exhibitors and the availability of the exhibit space generally for attendees who choose to visit it.
