This day-long statewide conference is designed to bring together health care clinicians and researchers to discuss best practices in palliative and end-of-life care. It is being hosted by the IUPUI Research in Palliative and End-of-Life Communication and Training (RESPECT) Center.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants will be able to: 

  1. Describe best practices in palliative and hospice care for improving care of patients with serious illness.
  2. Discuss strategies to improve advance care planning for patients with serious illness of all ages.
  3. Identify current challenges and opportunities in the field of Palliative Care.

Registration

Registration closed! Walk In Registration will be available.  

Physician, DO, Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistant - $225
Other healthcare & professionals  (Nurse, Social Worker, Health Facility Administrator, other) - $150

Cancellation requests must be submitted to the CME office. Cancellations received by February 20, 2019 will receive a full refund. Cancellations received after that date will not be refunded, but substitutions are welcome.


Accreditation


In support of improving patient care, Indiana University School of Medicine is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.

Nurses
Indiana University School of Medicine designates this activity for a maximum of 7.0 ANCC contact hours.  Nurses should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Physicians
