Adelaide, Australia (1/96 – 7/96) Overseas study experience at the University of Adelaide; lived in an International Student Residence for four months with students from all over the world (Israel, Taiwan, Kenya, Nigeria, Germany, Canada, Sri Lanka)
Native American Christian Mission in Arizona (3/95) Taught chemistry classes for the week, lived in the dormitories with the junior high and high school girls, and performed maintenance duties in the dormitories and school

Mountain Mission School in Grundy, VA (3/94) Performed maintenance duties at the school and built relationships with many Ethiopian refugee children, as well as children from the inner cities of Philadelphia, Washington, DC, and New York City
San Luis Potosi, Mexico (12/93 – 1/01) For seven years, traveled to Casa de Ninos, a children’s home in San Luis, over Christmas break to work and build relationships with the children there; led group of 17 IU students in 1998, 1999, and 2001
